Each item is decorated with hand-painted floral designs employing a unique process that is like no other on today’s market. The artist is a Virginia crafter and each piece is hand painted. | Our handmade wooden items and treenware (an old term referring to objects made from trees) are carved or turned from American hardwoods by skilled crafters from our region. They are one-of-a-kind objects that will delight those who prize the rich glow of cherry, Osage, cedar, elm, maple, walnut and other colorful woods. Our stitchery collectables include Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, authentic replicas of the original floppy, red-headed creations made popular by children’s author and illustrator Johnny B. Gruelle more than 50 years ago. These sought-after, huggable dolls come complete with the traditional black button eyes and the heart emplazoned with “I Love You”. Each doll carries the crafters signature. Other collectables include numerous “whimsical ladies”, a series of humorous, endearing dolls are a delight to children of all ages. Our stitchery items for children include appliquéd chenille baby blankets and an assortment of chenille animals that our young visitors love. | ||||
